In Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 Episode 7 ‘The Set-Up,’ the meeting is called for help in a bombed-out area that turned out to be a tourist bus. The Feds are at the scene shutting Jake and the NYPD out of the case (the reason was completely related to Jake). Jake plans a second bombing at a bus stop near the IRS building. As soon as a man appears, Jake arrests him, thinking he is a criminal. However, not responsible for the bombings, Holt stopped Jake.
O’Sullivan offers to help Jake in exchange for personal gain, but Holt sends Amy and Rosa to announce their agreement. Amy thinks of taking out the drunken confession of O’Sullivan, but she ends up ruining it. Rosa then switches places with Amy, and O’Sullivan gets their suspension plan. Amy accuses him of abusing Jake, but he denies that he has such intentions. Terry is about to take over Scully’s business when he sells sweets every year until Charles comes in, and they fight over the issue.
Meanwhile, Jake is still investigating the man he had earlier arrested. Amy and Rosa tried to find the case, but they came out of the bikes drunk and isolated, only to ruin her career. Jake was then charged with additional costs. O’Sullivan approaches Holt and decides to drop all charges against Jake, who was apparently accusing O’Sullivan of dishonesty and sent Amy to establish her. Jake finally admits his mistakes, and Holt suspends him for five months.
