The Great Season 2: Plot
In the final episode of The Great Season 1, Catherine gets out of bed with her boyfriend Leo and reveals that her only wish is to rule Russia. But Peter needs to be killed that very day, and he is planning to rebel. However, the protest is thwarted as Peter grabs Catherine. Mariol tells Peter about Catherine’s pregnancy and her violent plan.
Peter looks angry. But playing a pregnancy card, Catherine asks for sympathy for Peter. Peter binds Leo and asks Catherine to choose between Leo and the kingdom. Despite initial disagreements, Catherine bids farewell to Leo, for her desire to be king is strong.
The first season puts the audience in a seamless follow-up season. With the overthrow of the coup, Catherine is likely to begin her second term in office. We’ll still see how this series works with Peter’s character. Since Peter may have killed Leo, Catherine will retaliate. In fact, Catherine immediately brought Peter under her decision, and she died shortly thereafter.
In addition, the season will see Catherine step into her mother’s shoes, and she will have other responsibilities. Hoult’s loss will have a profound effect on royalty. Although Leo may be dead, he promises to hunt down Catherine at the end of the first season. Therefore, it is always possible for him to return as a ghost. Rest assured, you should not expect a history lesson from the series, as it relies heavily on historical events.
