According to Mediabridge, one of the production companies involved in the project, ‘Open Your Eyes is the first Netflix production in Wroclaw. It is a historic town on the banks of the Oder River in southwestern Poland. In the past, we served as the capital of Silesia and Lower Silesia. During Poland’s turbulent history, the city became part of the Polish Empire, the Kingdom of Hungary, the Austrian Habsburg Monarchy, the Kingdom of Bohemia, and the Kingdom of Prussia and Germany.

After World War II ended in 1945, Wroclaw became a political city in Poland again. In our day, it serves as the capital of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship or Dolnośląskie. It has a large student population and is a major contributor to the country’s arts and culture. Projects such as ‘Bridge of Spies,’ ‘Cold War,’ and ‘The Captain’ were shot there.
