Biko Wright: Alone Season 8 Journey
Biko Wright was born into a family of nature lovers and survivors. From infancy, his parents taught him how to survive on earth using basic survival skills, such as hunting, ice skating, scuba diving, and spearfishing. Growing up in Topanga Canyon, California, Biko fell in love with the forest at a very young age and quickly took the desert survival training offered by his father, a former Los Angeles police sergeant and a Marine veteran. In addition, as he grew up, Biko joined his father’s search and rescue team and even got involved in avalanche training.
Interestingly, Biko Wright took his father’s help in preparing ‘Alone’ as the latter trained his son well to help him endure the challenges in the Canadian wilderness. While struggling to survive off the coast of Chilko Lake, British Columbia, Biko quickly found food, water, and shelter. He never once diminished his determination and remained committed to the survival of the fittest. At first, his plan seemed very successful, and Biko ended up well this season despite many others pulling out.
In the end, it was a race between Biko Wright and Clay Hayes, both of whom had survived more than 70 days. Unfortunately, in the end, Biko ran out of food and started to starve. He also developed a “heart condition due to malnutrition.” So, heartbroken, Biko was forced to leave after 72 days and “had to be airlifted by helicopter.” Speaking about it, Biko said, “I should have spent two days in the emergency room recovering where they told me I would not have had a heart attack if I had moved on. In the end, it was the right decision no matter how painful it was for me. ”
While Biko Wright was trying to survive in a dangerous wilderness, his fiancée, Erin, became pregnant with twins.
