The Flag Day movie is based on the memory of Jennifer Vogel entitled ‘Flim-Flam Man: The True Story of My Father’s Counterfeit Life.’ Dylan Penn plays the role of Jennifer Vogel and Sean Penn plays the role of her father, John Vogel. Vogel was notorious for drug trafficking, counterfeit money, and evasion. In 1986, Vogel was arrested and jailed on a charge of an armed robbery at a bank. Jennifer, who now lives in her hometown of Minneapolis, was involved in a movie adaptation of her invitation. He gave screenwriters a tour of parts of the city where he grew up and visited with his father. This helped the writers to understand his relationship with his father and their view of the world. During the recording, Jennifer also provided the producers with notes that help keep the movie real. However, the movie has absolutely no cinema freedom and speculation.
