Chesapeake Shores Tv Series Filming Locations
‘Chesapeake Shores’ is fully recorded in Canada, especially in British Columbia. The recording of the fifth season continued in April 2021 and continued until July of the same year. Although the story is said to have been set in Maryland, producers found it less expensive to record the show in Hollywood of the North. Now let’s take you to some places where this show is recorded!
Qualicum Beach, British Columbia
Most of the Chesapeake Shores series is recorded in Qualicum Beach, a beautiful coastal town on Vancouver Island, part of British Columbia. Scenes at Sally’s Diner were filmed at Leigh House, a museum in the center of the city’s commercial district, at 124 West 2nd Avenue in Qualicum.
Exhibitions are often misleading when it comes to places – such as the Crown Mansion Boutique Hotel in 292 Crescent Road East which represents Baltimore’s law offices. More scenes were filmed at Milner Gardens & Woodland – Vancouver Island University at 2179 Island Highway West in Qualicum Beach. Workers built a treehouse from scratch so they could record. The Jess’ Bed and Breakfast series was also recorded at the venue.
Some of the Chesapeake Shores’ fifth season scenes were filmed at The Qualicum Beach Community Hall, a community center located at 644 Memorial Avenue. Some scenes are filmed in the city square. Some of the scenes were filmed at Smithford’s Gifts, a gift shop located at 164 West 2nd Avenue in the same district. The venue represented the Chesapeake Shores Flower Shop in the series.
The Chesapeake Shores Town Square Café story is not real. The scenes were actually filmed at Bailey’s Village, a restaurant located at 670 Primrose Street, in the same area.
Nanaimo, British Columbia
For a memorable sequence, Abby visits the Chesapeake Shores Art Museum. During the absence of the museum, scenes were filmed at Nanaimo Arts Council, a museum and exhibition center at 78 Wharf Street in Nanaimo. The show also has visuals that look like Austin and Nashville, but the band recorded at these venues. The scenes were filmed at a very convenient location in Nanaimo of downtown Commercial Street.
Scenes were also filmed at Vault Cafe, a restaurant at 499 Wallace Street in Nanaimo, located on Austin Street. The scenes at Palace Bar in Nashville were actually filmed at The Queen’s, a large hotel located at 34 Victoria Crescent in Nanaimo. A few outdoor scenes were filmed at Gabriel’s Cafe, another cafe on 39 Commercial Street in the same area.
Parksville, British Columbia
The internal sequence is largely filmed within the studio area. Vancouver Island Film Studios, a movie theater located at 925 Fairdowne Road in Parksville, is donating its facilities to record the series. Some of the scenes were filmed in Parksville Community Park, a public park located at 193 Beachside Drive. Staff also visited St. Edmund’s Anglican Church, the parish church at 407 Wembley Road in Parksville, to photograph a few sequences.
A few trips were taken from Rathtrevor Beach and the nearby Province Park, a magnificent site located at 1240 Rath Road, east of the city. Other fifth-season shots also feature locations in Errington or south of Parksville.
Other Places in British Columbia
Chesapeake Shores. The team of producers also recorded a few scenes in Nanoose Bay, a community off the east coast of Vancouver Island. Fairwinds Marina at Schooner Cove, a marina at 3521 Dolphin Drive in Nanoose Bay, represented the Chesapeake Shores Marina. O’Brian’s house where most of the story comes from can be found at 1574 Stewart Road, in the same place.
Although most of the series was filmed on Vancouver Island, other scenes were filmed on the continent, especially the first season’s pilot. Other scenes were filmed in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. Scenes were also captured in Steveston, a suburb of Richmond in British Columbia.
