The recording of ‘Car Masters: Rust to Riches’ took place in the state of California, mainly in the city of Temecula. The famous Gotham Garage, which houses most of the car/rehabilitation projects, is located in Temecula. The series is filmed in a garage, which gives it a real feel and gives the audience a chance to see the daily location of the characters.

Car Masters: Rust to Riches. Temecula, a town in Riverside County, California, is the site of the first recording of the exhibition. The original Gotham Garage is located directly at 41979 Rio Nedo Road in Temecula. During the second show, staff opened a second store, referred to as “The New Shop,” located just south of the city. Fazeli Cellars Winery located at 37320 De Portola Road and Pechanga Resort and Casino located at 45000 Pechanga Parkway also appear in the same section.
The city is a popular tourist destination and is best known for its resorts, spectacular scenery, wine grounds, and golf courses. It is also known for the various festivals held in the city, including the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival. Although Temecula is closer to San Diego than LA, it is considered part of Greater Los Angeles. Part of the recording was also done at Lake Skinner Park AKA Skinner Reservoir, located at 37701 Warren Road, Winchester, Riverside County. The filming also took place on Perris Auto Speedway (The PAS) in 18700 on Lake Perris Drive in Perris.

The recording of the Car Masters: Rust to Riches show takes place regularly in parts of Los Angeles County. Several scenes were filmed in Anaheim, Orange County. An important sequence of the end of season 2 was recorded at the Petersen Automotive Museum, located on Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles.
