In To Your Eternity Season 1 Episode 16, ‘Children’s Dreams’ Tonari writes her story in her diary. Several years ago, when she was just a little girl, Tonari lived with her parents away from the island. He had a loving family, but one typical summer day, when he wakes up, Tonari finds his mother’s body. Elan G. Dalton, her father, is accused of murder, and knowing that he does not want the life of an orphan, a little girl joins him on a cruel island where people kill each other indiscriminately.
Elan decides to take part in the tournament, realizing that there is no other way to escape. Despite being declared the winner and becoming the new leader, Tonari is shocked by the killings and mayhem left by a brutal war. Elan was later poisoned, but Tonari has not given up his hope of leaving the island, so he plans for several years and eventually gets an important job to achieve his goal.
Unfortunately, outsiders do not welcome him, and it is there that he meets a mysterious woman who tells him to take Fushi to the island as he is the only hope for the people there. However, it turns out that the woman is Hayase, and is Fushi’s last rival in the tournament.
He admits that he killed Parona, which angered Fushi naturally, and that he began a violent attack. Unfortunately, none of his attacks reach Hayase’s body, and he easily offends her.
