‘The L Word: Generation Q’ is set primarily in Los Angeles, California, and the recording of the show takes place mainly in the city. Some parts were filmed in parts of Los Angeles County. The City of Angels is one of the most famous film studios in the world, and its multicultural nature makes the city an ideal recording studio and exhibition center for the LGBTQ + community.
The main shooting for the first season of the show is likely to start in July 2019 and continued until November 2019. The recording of the second season was delayed due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Los Angeles County, California Location
‘The L Word: Generation Q’ is being recorded at various locations in Los Angeles County. The outdoor shooting of the Silver Lake Reservoir is always seen in the episodes. The American Cement Building located at 2404 Wilshire Boulevard is doubled as Bette’s office. The Wilshire Grand Center 900 Wilshire Boulevard from other scenes.
A sequence of the first season of the show was recorded at Hollywood United Methodist Church on Franklin Avenue. The Village at Ed Gould Plaza is the highlight of the second episode. The Village is the site of the actual Los Angeles LGBTQ center, located at 1125 N. McCadden Place.
Semi-Tropic, a bar located in the Echo Park area, serves as a stand-up Atlas bar bar created during the recording of a few scenes. Meetings and hangouts of the main characters were filmed at The LINE Hotel (Koreatown), Atrium (Vermont Avenue), Brite Spot Diner, and Kettle Black (both on Sunset Boulevard).
Sony Pictures Studios, located in 10202 Washington Boulevard in Culver City, is one of the highlights of the exhibition. Scenes of Alice’s speeches are filmed in the studio area and other sequences. It is a place to record popular shows such as ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The Goldbergs. ’The actors and crew recorded parts of an episode near One Culver, a famous 10000 Washington Boulevard building, not far from the studio.
Other recording locations in LA County include parts of Sunset Boulevard, Sanborn Avenue, Mayview Drive, Vista Hermosa Natural Park, Landa Street, Openaire Restaurant, Santa Monica Airport, Sunset Triangle Plaza, Los Angeles Central Library and Mayfield Senior School. The L Word: Generation Q.
