Good Luck Chuck Movie Filming Locations
The Good Luck Chuck movie was shot mainly in British Columbia, and its filming moved to Alberta. The main shooting reportedly started in July 2006. Let’s take a closer look at the exact locations of the filming of this movie.
Metro Vancouver, British Columbia
The recording of ‘Good Luck Chuck’ took place mostly in the town of Vancouver in the Greater Vancouver area in British Columbia. Second Beach and Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park, located at 845 Avison Way, was used to record many movie scenes. Scenes containing Cam at work are likely to be filmed here. The public aquarium is a well-known tourist destination and conducts marine research.
UBC Robson Square Campus was also used to record several scenes in the film. The study center is located at 800 Robson Street in downtown Vancouver. A few scenes were shot at the Frederic Wood Theater at 6354 Crescent Road. The wedding scenes in the film were shot at the beautiful Cecil Green Park House, at 6251 Cecil Green Park Road.
A few shots were fired at Vancouver International Airport, located at 3211 Grant McConachie Way in the neighboring city of Richmond. Spanish Banks Dog Beach, Granville Island Community Market located on Johnston Street, Iona Beach Regional Park in Richmond, Water Street, and the famous Brix and Mortar restaurants also serve as filmmakers. The enthusiastic sequence of the loft was recorded at Aja Tan Studios, located at 1600 Railway Street in North Vancouver.
The city of Edmonton in Alberta is one of the few North American cities inhabited by African penguins, which are a favorite bird of film because they live in warmer climates. Therefore, scenes with Alba’s character working with penguins were filmed at the Canadian City Festival and even required the character to spend a few days getting acquainted with the birds and vice versa. Penguins can be seen at West Edmonton Mall, located at 8882 170 Street North West. It is possible that the recording of scenes containing birds also took place here.
The recording crew also spent time shooting several scenes in the historic district of Old Strathcona in south-central Edmonton.
Los Angeles, California
A small portion of the recording is reported to have taken place in Los Angeles, California. The product could include studio installation and local recording of a few scenes.
