Located across England and (briefly) in France, the recording of services took place mainly in England itself. However, in addition to the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, a group of producers managed to make a quick trip to France, where they also recorded some critical scenes. The main shooting started on March 31, 2020, but had to be stopped due to the epidemic. Then it started again sometime in July 2020 and continued until October 27 of the same year. Bath, England
The town of Bath in Somerset County is heavily used for shooting, given the variety of vintage buildings offered. Many of the areas around Gloucestershire County are used for The Pursuit of Love show, especially some of the prestigious homes doubling as accommodations for the characters of the play, especially Lord Merlin. Dyrham Park, a home wine vineyard located in a large park in the village of Dyrham in South Gloucestershire, is used for filming.
Badminton House, located in the nearby Badminton village, is also widely used for outdoor recording, with an outdoor and indoor mansion that often appears in the game. Interestingly, it is also one of the filmmakers for the Netflix season show ‘Bridgerton.’
Bristol, England
One of the biggest recording venues for ‘The Pursuit of Love is a production facility in Bristol, South West England. Bottle Yard Studios, located on Whitchurch Lane, a few miles south of Bristol, is used as a stopover at the famous London Cheyne Walk, located in the Chelsea suburb of Westminster City. Along with that, the complex also has the construction of the required sets of shooting scenes located at the Beverly Hills Hotel and The Ritz.
Oxfordshire, England
Rousham House in the town of Bicester in northeastern Oxfordshire County is also being used for The Pursuit of Love filming, standing as short as Alconleigh. The house is well-known for its beautiful gardens, which are open to the public. Scenes from the Radlett family home are filmed at the 1635 Jacobean house in Oxfordshire.
Paris, France
Recordings of certain The Pursuit of Love scenes related to the story of the exhibition are reported to have taken place in Paris, France. Despite the epidemic, a team of producers managed to record in the capital for a few days, allowing them to discover important paintings around People Dauphine, a public place on the island of Ile de la Cité on the Seine River in central Paris. Much of the recording in the French capital is centered on this area, where sidewalks and fine restaurants are shot.
Wiltshire, England
In addition, The Pursuit of Love scenes showing Oxford University intended to be shot in a prestigious location had to be replaced due to COVID-19 and instead was shot at Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire County. Stourhead Garden and a heritage site near the town of Warminster in Wiltshire County are also used to record the site. Dinton Park and Phillips House in the Dinton district also serve as one of the areas where the shooting took place.
