Jungle Cruise Movie Filming Locations
The main shoot for ‘Jungle Cruise’ started on 14 May 2018 and was completed on September 14, 2018. After some delays, the re-recording (possibly re-enactment) of 2019 and officially wrapped up on June 3, 2019. The movie was heavily filmed in sets built in a studio based in Georgia and Hawaii. Other parts were also shot at in both provinces. Let’s take a look at some movie theaters!
Kauai, Hawai
Kauai, an island in Hawaii, is also a major movie theater. A large set was made by the filmmakers at Capeia Reservoir, located near Wailua Falls in Kauai County. They filmed some scenes in various parts of the island, including the town of Lihue, the regional seat of Kauai County. A few scenes have also been shot near Huleia Stream.
Part of the filming also took place near the Kilohana Plantation, which is a hot planting area located at 3-2087 Kaumualii Highway in Lihue. The area is a tourist attraction and offers a variety of activities such as rum safari and a great dining experience. The property represented life in the early 1900s, making it an ideal location for filming, given its World War I set. Popular films such as ‘Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw,’ ‘Avatar,’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise also shot dead in Kauai.
