In episode 3, Frau is well aware that Hawthorn is taking part in this tournament on the field in order to be strong and gain the strength to defend others. Sari sees Masato, and the two meet for the first time since Sari began his journey. It has been revealed that Masato is with Millia these days, who is also a contestant, hoping to win the award and deal with her financial problems.
Meanwhile, Sumeragi summons Oni from around the world at the 672nd Oni Assembly and tells others about Masato. He lies that Masato killed Meki, prompting one of the top Oni, Todoroki, to announce that he would kill Masato. Hawthorn meets Jucerino, a very powerful Oni known as the God of the Masks.
He takes him to Sumeragi, who introduces himself as Jucerino’s teacher and caretaker. Sumeragi asks Jucerino to enjoy Hawthorn during his games.
