Animal Kingdom TV Show Filming Locations
‘Animal Kingdom’ is fully recorded in the US, especially in California. The recording of the fifth season began on September 2, 2020, and ended in December of the same year. After the show was revived for the sixth and final season, the production team began recording the season on March 6, 2021. Now let’s take you to some of the locations where the Animal Kingdom series is filmed.
Most of the exhibits were filmed in and around the California coastal city of Oceanside. In a comprehensive recording program, staff visited several locations in the city during these five times. The beach house of Smurf’s adopted son Barry Blackwell AKA Baz is located at 406 The Strand South in the city.
Staff also visited Harbel Pelican Deli Mart and Fish Market to capture a few important sequences. A few scenes were recorded at Real Surf Shop, a single-stop station for 1101 South Coast Highway, and Larry’s Beach Club, at 1145 South Tremont Street in the same area. The surf store doubled as Deran’s crush shop Adrian in the series.
An important sequence was recorded at Lifeguard Tower 9, a coastal protection tower at the intersection of Oceanside Boulevard and South Pacific Street. Staff also filmed a few scenes at Flying Pig Pub & Kitchen, a rustic and picturesque restaurant located at 626 South Tremont Street, not far from the sea.
Many scenes were also filmed at the Oceanside Transportation Center, an important railway station located at 235 South Tremont Street. By recording a flashback image for the sixth season, crews used the swing road in an empty parking lot in the southern part of Strand.
Los Angeles, California
Additionally, some scenes are filmed in the studio area of downtown Los Angeles. Although a regular tour of the show in the beautiful Oceanside area, it returns to its production area in Los Angeles to give a final touch. The studio work on the exhibition took place at Warner Brothers Burbank Studios, a large historic production studio located at 4000 Warner Boulevard, in the Burbank area outside LA.
