Nevertheless Season 1 Episode 4 Recap
Although Na-bi has found the courage to act on her feelings about Jae-eon, her doubts continue to haunt her, especially in the absence of the mysterious Jae-eon. Episode 4 begins with the two of them lying in bed as Na-bi stared at her, letting her thoughts disturb her peace.
At the university, the two have breakfast together, and Na-bi quietly struggles with the desire to invite Jae-eon to her birthday two days later. After much deliberation, she decides to spend the day with her mother, who also ignores her special day.
Jae-eon looks at her on the train and begins to pamper her with food and gifts. He is about to cook a seafood soup later at his place, but an emergency call from Seol-a halts their plans. Na-bi then finds herself walking to her childhood friend’s party which she had found for herself on the bus.
She wins her heart with a delicious preparation of seafood soup set aside for a small birthday cake. Yang Do-Hyeok, her schoolmate and perhaps, also a peace-loving man, can make her smile and forget about Jae-eon, a boy with a twisted past when it comes to women.
Meanwhile, Bit-na is embarrassed to have sex with her best friend, Gyu-Hyun, who confesses that he loves her. But he rejects her in a way that irritates her. Even though he has abandoned her, Bit-na hates to see him flirt with other girls.
Elsewhere, Na-bi’s ex appears to have warned him about Jae-eon, but the poor girl seems to have already fallen for him. Eventually, he approaches her for the final confrontation, and just then, a random boy climbs on Jae-eon and hits him angrily.
