Good Girls Season 4 Episode 8 “Broken Toys”
Here’s a full take on what happened in “Broken Toys.” In the first scene, we see a child, Rio, write his name on a drawing. He lives with his grandmother who loves Grisham and is probably his brother, probably — his cousin Nick. “We’ve got a real chance here,” Rio told Beth now. He wants them to “keep them busy” – agents who live outside his house in a surveillance van, that is. She’s worried she’ll end up in jail, but Rio says he doesn’t ask. “Turn your head,” he replies. “We’re playing a long game here.” While we were riding the bike, Dean’s friends told him about “The System,” a new line of men’s leather men selling.
But it’s not a pyramid scheme, “it’s a multi-level opportunity.” You just don’t get a lot of products, they say. You get a “support network.” He tells them he’ll think about it. At the club, Stan tells the dancers that Gene does not respect them.
Where is their health care and paid sick leave? Although she does an up job collecting ladies, Ruby tells her that her attempt to get the dancers out of Gene is completely cooked up and dumb. At least human thinking! Watching her children fight for a toy gives Bethan an idea.
He tries to explain his thoughts to Annie and Ruby, but we also don’t follow what he sells. “So, we’re holding someone,” said Annie. The situation is tense before we find out who it is. Nick visits Beth to return the jersey he left for the evening.
He has a passion for collaboration between Beth and Rio. “You’re not just a normal partner,” he said. Nick says he should be careful. “Anyone who wears a cardigan should be doing what they do.” Which, by the way? Brother or cousin? “Family,” Beth asks. “Family,” he replied. Indeed, Jan Ruby, Annie, and Beth made Gene a gift. They tried to buy him a pile of counterfeit money, giving him twice what Stan owed him, but the slimeball would not bite. “I’m not just doing business with,” he said. Later, Annie has a moment of a-ha and reads the other two with Occam’srazor’s interpretation.
We break up the club, where they pretend Annie is going to marry her, and then we extort dollar bills from all the critics. They snatched guns while spraying money with a toy gun. Dave and Phoebe interrupted the party asking what was going on. “He said he wanted to see where it was going,” Beth said.
You ask the server for a change, you exchange a fake bill with a real one, and then you submit it to a prostitute. “Enough?” He asks them. In a series of back-and-forth episodes with Rio and Nick now a teenager, Nick works hard as a caddy, while Rio boxes in the gym. When Rio appears late for a golf course, Nick tells him he has a headache in the wrong game. Later, Nick grabs Rio lifting money from a bag in the locker room. Rio uses the stolen money to replace his grandmother’s broken stove, but Nick reports to Rio anyway.
We watch the police chase a little thief. Meanwhile, Dave and Phoebe brought Genedowntown. The dignified boss does not know why he is being questioned and admits the club is not his. When he starts talking, the boy doesn’t stop. He starts sweating and panic, and soon he will be in a frenzy. They showed him a picture of Rio, but he did not know who he was. Phoebe tells Beth afterward that Gene agreed to everything under the sun… except for anything related to Rio.
Phoebe warns him that “they will all gather for you tomorrow… just pick it up.” When Rio arrives with his latest pile, he asks Beth who is having the most fun, him or her “people.” What do you think? In a short time, Rio and Beth were in a state of shock, as the police surrounded them.
Their eyes are always lost. Phoebe and Dave meet at the station, arguing over who’s going to ask Rio first, but when they get to the exam room, they read Rio on foot. Someone above their level of leadership intervened. We see Rio walking towards it. Nick is in the driver’s seat. “So what have we done with him?” Asks Rio. “I see no other way.” Not what you want to do, ”said her brother/cousin Nicky. At Hill’s house, Stan tells Ruby that Gene is out of their lives; her old boss will leave for many years, but ruby stops to tell her how that happened.
At home, Beth goes upstairs and finds Rio waiting for him in the dark corner of his bedroom. He tells her he had no choice. “Yes, he did,” he said. You just didn’t choose me. At the end of the last night, Rio sits in front of the “Welcome Home” cake, as he learns that Nick was promoted. Rio has been away for six months because of his petty theft.
Nick then showed the Rio money buttons he had received from companies and alcohol at a golf course. “Now they trust me,” he said with a smile. “Now, they’ll believe whatever you tell them,” Rio said. Beth right now. “We can do whatever we want.
